With a history of everything from starring in films to serving in the Navy, Gary Owen brings a wealth of life experience to his comedy, making him a well-loved comic across America and a valued partner of Spoken Giants. 

In addition to performing stand-up for countless sold-out audiences, Gary starred in the #1 box office film series, Think Like A Man. He also appeared in the Universal comedy Ride Along with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, as well as Little Man with the Wayans Brother and Daddy Daycare alongside Eddie Murphy. Gary has also taken his talents to the small screen, hosting TruTV’s Upload with Shaquille O’Neal, recurring on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and starring in three Showtime specials all in the same year.

Even with his wide array of acting achievements, Gary found his true calling in stand-up comedy. After only a year in the field, he was named “Funniest Serviceman in America” and has since won titles like “Black America’s Favorite White Comedian.” Two appearances on BET’s ComicView, a multicultural comedy showcase, won him his own one-hour “grandstand” show.
