Like many of the best comedians, Mike Birbiglia boasts a myriad of talents—acting, directing, producing, and of course, stand-up comedy. And yet, it’s Mike’s keen storytelling ability that fuels his various creative pursuits and sets him apart among an ever-expanding sea of comedians. His easy storytelling style and boyish charms makes you feel like you’re talking to a friend—a pretty hilarious friend at that. Spoken Giants is thrilled to have Mike on the roster and as a part of the new frontier for comedy.

Over the course of his career, Mike has performed for audiences worldwide, everywhere from the Sydney Opera House to Broadway. Two of his shows, “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend” and “Thank God For Jokes,” were both filmed for Netflix. His most recent show, “The New One,” ran for 99 performances at the Cort Theatre and inspired a book of the same title. 

Furthermore, performing live only scratches the surface of Mike’s impressive catalog. An author and filmmaker, he wrote, directed, and starred in the films Sleepwalk With Me and Don’t Think Twice. He has also appeared on Inside Amy Schumer, HBO’s Girls, Broad City, Trainwreck, Popstar, and the critically acclaimed film The Fault In Our Stars, as well as Orange Is The New Black and Billions with recurring roles. Mike was also a finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor and was honored with the Kurt Vonnegart Award.
